New Beginnings

New Beginnings

I cannot believe this beautiful property is ours. Stephen and I have worked so hard to get to where we are and never in a million years did we expect this!

Let me share a little bit with you about our homestead. Our house is old, like really old, I'm talking 119 years old - old. It is a Victorian style Dutch Colonial and was built before the rest of our town. It actually was built by the first Mayor of our town, Thomas Wilby!

Shortly after his death, which was not long after the house was built, the property became a Historical Tourist Site in the state of Minnesota. For about 40 years, no one lived here and it was merely toured by those interested in the nearby historical buildings. Not to mention, we can see the historical schoolhouse from the back end of the property, and the historical church is just a 5 minute drive away!

This homestead has a ton of character, something that was so hugely important to us when we moved back to Minnesota. And land, we have an acre of land in the heart of our town, populated with less than 4000 people! We are truly living a rural dream we never thought would be possible. This land, this house, all of it brings so many endless opportunities for The Bad Hippies and we are so excited to share every bit of it with you!

That's enough of me blabbing on about this house. In these blogs you'll get updates on what's new in Wonderland as well as any product updates we come up with!

Peace and Love

Sophie
